The best of West Michigan Blues meet to compete for a spot in the International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis, Tennessee in January of 2027.
The IBC is the largest battle of the bands in the world, featuring hundreds of acts from around the world performing for a solid week. Bands and solo / duo acts compete in world famous venues on Beale Street in Memphis Tennessee. These bands are all nominated by Blues Foundation member societies from around the world, including our own WMBS. We will be choosing our representatives to send to Memphis at this event.

Several past competitors have made it through the semi-final round or even the best self-produced CD award, demonstrating the exceptional talent we have in West Michigan.
